How it works
Volunteer by sending us an email, once approved you will get one of these fancy Pirate boxes with whatever Pirate picture and Pirate name you choose.
Then, we will make you your own Pirate page. With that page you can add your Pirate sightings and stories. Simply email us and we'll update your page for you. Include your email or other contact information on your Pirate page and you will be able to stay in contact with fellow Pirate Volunteers. Help the cause, and find some Pirates.
For each submission you receive a set number of points. Those points then can be used to purchase special items for your profile (see them here) and eventually merchandise.
Certain submissions will be promoted to the front page of the site. Upon which time you will be awarded extra points. For the very rare few, there is a Hall of Fame. Those chosen for the Hall of Fame will receive a very special honour.
You will also be assessed a "find" score that will rank you against other volunteers. Find ranking is determined by a secret algorithim. Hint: the more active you are, the higher your score will go.
Recruiting new volunteers goes a long way to helping your score.
